I also must agree with Christine & DumbUsa It’s ignorant people like Ms. Velez & “Gayler” Smith that are shallow and talk shit about things they shouldn’t. And since when is being black have anything do with cos-play? And Vicki I don’t say shit when I see Latinos and Caucasians dressing up like 50, Jigga or some Hip Hop cat cuz you know why? cuz they’re fans of something they like. I also experienced hater’s when I dressed up as Jin from Samurai Champloo even though it was fully identical to the show (swords and all) I had stupid fucks saying dumb shit like “Your black so why are you dressed up as Jin?” or “If your gonna be black and do cos-play then you should dress up like the Boondocks” All i’m saying is a fan is a fan doesn’t matter about race or creed and instead of ya’ll hating you should be giving props to a decent outfit and to the guy who is representing something that we all love and enjoy. Also Maria how did this guy ruin the show? i don’t see Adult Swim taking it off the air.

We all know that InuYasha is a male, But what about female???….The reason I am asking is because I am a 32 year old woman who went out with my daughter last year for Halloween dressed as InuYasha. My costume did not look as good as the one that the guy in the picture is wearing. In fact, I made my own. I wore red sweat pants, a white turtle neck shirt, and a red sweater and wore a long blonde wig like the one in the picture above and I made my own set of InuYasha ears and all of the kids knew who I was dressed up as. InuYasha. My daughter was dressed up as Sango. She actually had a demon slayers costume like Sango’s. It doesn’t matter if you are black or white as long as you are having fun when you dress up in role play as your favorite character. Myself I have seen all of the episodes of InuYasha for probaly about the third time around around. I have also saw the movies of InuYasha and I have two PS2 (Play Station 2) InuYasha games. The two mentioned above. InuYasha Feudal Combat and InuYasha The Secret Of The Cursed Mask. Infact at this very second as I am typing this I am watching InuYasha. Episode:… Three-Sided Battle To The Death. So I really do think that the guy in the above picture did a great job making himself look like InuYasha.

And it’s really sad to see some people with their preconceived ideas about white superiority, discriminating against blacks and overweight people, just because they’re black and/or overweight. I know it doesn’t go as deep here, but there definitely is that undercurrent to it. Come on. They’re humans too. And put yourself in their shoes. you definitely wouldn’t like to be ostracized if you were a black, would you? They’re humans too and are in no way different, except skin colour.

First of all the outfit is awsome I love it. It does look like Inuyasha the problem here is everyone bringing him down because of weight and color. First of all I am white but do I feel the need to bring down someone who is of color for dressing like my fav. Anime Char no I don’t he acctually did very well. and to everyone before me and after me that accepts people for who they are I commend you. Also you that can’t seem to gather the intelect to think about something before it petrudes through you mouth inconteniently then don’t bother with it. I feel that if someone is so low that they have to degrade someone else just to feel better about themselfs then they are nothing. Good Job on the Outfit and RIght on to all that Cos-play be they of color or not HAVE FUN AND DON’T LET ANYONE BRING YOU DOWN. :) Thank you

…well, I guess since he’s black he can’t cosplay as Inu-Yasha so….. the majority of American anime fans should not cospl;ay because, well, what do you know? THEY’RE ASIAN! So if it’s stupid to hear you can’t cosplay as an Asian (mainly Japanese) anime character because you’re not Asian, then it’s stupid to make a big deal about a black guy cosplaying as a Japanese character because… omg! he’s black… PLEASE people, from seeing tge top up, he seems to have the outfit down exactly (except the wig… I personally hate wigs of any cosplayer) but I think he did really well. So like, black people have to cosplay people who have similar skin-color? Well, if the people above agree with that, then we should also cosplay within nationality too (yeah… it’s dumb isn’t? So let’s not make a big deal about a black guy being Inu Yasha, shall we?)
